In the Dark

A kiss wakes me from reverie.

Hair, slightly greasy and knotted, defeats my combing fingers. Stubble, prickly and coarse, scrapes against my cheek as I inhale the mixed scent of horses, leather and musk. My hands trace down the broad, muscled back to cup firm buttocks while soft fur tickles my naked chest.

"Ah, Aragorn," I say softly into the darkness.

A growl vibrates up through his body to escape his lips at the base of my neck.

Uh-oh. I know that growl. It does not belong to the king.

I sigh.

"Try again," my other lover purrs.

"Ah, Faramir."
