leaving completely

I want to end all presence on lj and will probably do the following, barring the sudden appearance of a really good reason not to:

On August 9, 2017 I will import tolkien100 to DW, into a community of the same name that I created in 2009. This gives everyone a month to decide whether they want to delete their posts from the community before the import. You can read about how importing works and what happens to imported posts here, if you are unfamiliar with the process.

After the import, I can go one of two ways. Does anyone want to take over ownership of tolkien100? If so, I'll delete my posts and hand it over, assuming you know how I can do that. If not, I will delete the community when I delete my journal. Let me know!

I understand your wanting to do the import to DW and I'm fine with having my posts imported.

I gather that it's on LJ you would be deleting the community, not on DW, as otherwise you wouldn't need to do the import first?
I'm not ready to take on ownership of a community, either way, I'm afraid.
I'll try and signal-boost your message, if it's okay, in case someone on my f-list might want to do so.

I can take over the comm as a cobweb so the posts don't disappear if no one else offers, but I'm not interesting in running challenges.

There should be a setting to change owners as it happened to me when I took over another a comm there was two of us as owners until I took the user who didn't want to be the owner any more off.

What does running the comm here entail? I might be willing to give it a go, but would want to know a bit more about what is needed.
