“Pip, I do declare you have upheld the honour of the Shire!”

Pippin looked smug at Merry’s words. “Had to be done. They are too serious underneath all the laughter.”

“Elves are a wonder, and no mistake,” Sam said dreamily.

Frodo looked suspiciously at his young friend. “What have you done, Master Took?”

Pippin speared a slice of bread on a long fork. “Toast?”

“Don’t change the subject.”

“I taught Lindir a song. He has said he will sing it tonight after the feast.”

Frodo groaned and resolved to dine alone that night.

He knew what Pippin’s songs were like.

Nice scene between the four in Rivendell!
I suppose Frodo may have heard a few too many of Pippin's songs already, but I'm sure Lindir singing it will be fun.
