Author Notes: This is an AU about what might have happened if Galadriel had been corupted by the Ring.



"She is defeated, my lord. Lady Galadriel is no more."

Celeborn nodded silently, staring out at what remained of Lothlorien. Galadriel was gone. The woman he had loved above all others - dead. Celebrian's loving mother - dead. The Lady of Lothlorien - dead. Maybe, even the wisest of the elves - dead.

Once more, he looked out at the dust-covered plain that had once been her realm. That, too, was her doing - Galadriel, Queen of Death, who held the One Ring. No, he thought, it was not her. The Ring took her long ago.

"Good," he finally said.
