Summary: Movie-canon; Frodo and Sam see the Eldar passing by whilst they are camping one night in FotR. Inspired by the icon's picture.
Challenge: none, just a last B2MEM idea
The elves pass by in the distance. The air is so hushed that Sam can hear each footfall, each note of the sad song that they are singing, each hoofbeat. Sam has never seen their like, only read of them and heard tales from Frodo and Mr Bilbo's stories of his Adventure. The Eldar are more elegant than words can possibly express, more wondrous than anything that he could have ever imagined. And then he looks at Frodo, and realizes that his dear friend is more beautifully elvish than even the elves themselves. At least, in Sam's eyes and heart and mind.
