Never To Be
"I've lost him," Gimli thought as he watched Legolas lean over the rail of the ship, listening to the cries of gulls while attempting to catch the sea-spray in his face.
"Not that I ever had him, mind... But I had hoped. Now, I know. No matter the outcome of this war, do we live to see Sauron defeated or nay, he will sail when all is done. I can almost hear the sea's mythic call to the elves in the longing on his face."
The dwarf's wistful sigh was lost amidst the splash of waves against the wooden hull.

More
"Gimli!" he screamed as his essence flowed down the back of my throat and filled my mouth. His knees buckled and my large hands on his smooth elven buttocks were all that held him in place. I wasted not a single drop, licked him clean.
"I'm undone," he whispered as I lowered him to the ground. "These caves echo..." Crystalline formations reflected in his eyes as he tried to wrap his legs around me.
"Later..." I breathed in his scent, tasted the sweat at his navel. "When I've had my fill."
"More?" he gasped, arching into my touch.
"Much more."

Drifting
"Shouldn't we turn around and go back for those sailors we left behind?" Gimli asked, glancing over his shoulder. "I can barely see the shore..."
"That would require too much effort," was the soft reply from the still figure draped across his lap.
His large, wrinkled fingers combed through golden tresses. "We should try to steer this floating bucket."
Legolas sighed and raised his head off his grey bearded pillow. "You want to move?"
"No..."
"That's a beautiful sunset we're drifting towards," the elf whispered, relaxing again.
The dwarf looked back as the last strip of land faded from view.
