Disclaimer : Characters by Tolkien, but their parting in Brethil was imagined by Himring.
Spoilers : Not really, unless how Morwen got to Dor-lomin counts as one.
Summary: Morwen departs for Dor-lomin, with Rian and some other refugees of the House of Beor, while Emeldir and others remain in Brethil.
‘We cannot all stay,’ says Emeldir gently.
However few of them made it to Brethil, they are still too many for the Haladin to support. Morwen agrees, although she does not want to.
She looks at Emeldir, leaning hard on her crutch. Only Emeldir could have survived the journey with that broken leg, over ice and rock, after what they had already been through.
Morwen does not want to go on without her, whatever opportunities await in Dor-lomin.
‘Give me a hug, girl,’ Emeldir offers.
There are many things Morwen does not want. That last hug—she does want that.
