Frodo looked over to Sam and laughed, “Don’t let the riveting details overwhelm you, Sam.” He resettled back onto his spot on Sam’s belly, and Sam began to run his hand through Frodo’s curls. 

“I’m sorry Frodo-dear,” Sam said, watching the golden leaves above them dance in the breeze, “Hearin’ you talk relaxes me, if you get my meaning.” A leaf fluttered above him and landed on the tip of his nose. 

Frodo smiled before he plucked the leaf off, kissing the tip of Sam’s nose, “Of course, my dear Sam.”
