When we were young, we didn’t fear magic rings and everlasting wounds.
We were not left behind.
We did not see a mad man burn his son alive, a city under siege, a troll crushing you till you could not breathe.
We didn't worry about dwindling energy, a barren wasteland, a master so weak he could barely hold up his head.
The Quest had not happened but now that we have survived, we can live to tell our children of a darker time when hope seemed futile. Now we still live to see a new age, peace under a King.
