Title: It’s Been a While

Summary- Sam and Rosie share a moment during Yuletide back from the Quest.

Disclaimer- not my characters, they're Tolkien's-lucky guy.

The signs of Yuletide in the Shire were in full swing.It was the first Yuletide back from the Quest and Sam was eager to spend them with the Cottons, his ol’ Gaffer, and Mr. Frodo. However, Rosie had far more plans with Sam.

“Why are you not spending every second at our place- we haven’t seen you for so long,” said Rosie shyly but assertively.

“I am…” Sam was blushing as he was muttering a half reply.

Mistletoe was hanging everywhere.

“Welcome back and happiest Yuletide, Samwise- i’ve missed you.”

“Me too,” Sam leaned in to kiss his Rosie.

Summary: Here's a moment to have a Brandybuck prove himself.

“Why do you tease me so, Mr. Brandybuck?” Estelle Bolger looked at Merry with disdain.

“I am not teasing you. I know you can change for the better.”

“My brother was right– you shall be a bachelor for the rest of your long days,” Estelle turned away with a huff.

Merry followed her closely, touched her arm, and whirled her around. “I do not know why you’re angry- I mean well, did you not know?”

“Then prove it.”

The outside snow glistened and mistletoe surrounded them.

“Did you not know I love you?” Merry bent in to kiss Estelle tenderly.
