Title: Past the Winter's Snow
Fandom: Lord of the Rings (books)
Characters/Pairing: Faramir
Rating: G
Word count: 100

Prompt: Changing of the Year

Disclaimer: They're not my characters but Tolkien's, but i wish they were.

Snow frosted window panes showed that it was still cold in the January light. It was not yet dawn, but Faramir was awake. It was the first day of the New Year, and it was the year that he would soon wed his beloved. Yet, the weather was still chill and he longed for tuile to come. That had always been his season of choice where the earth was reborn with flowers and the longer days meant there was more to enjoy.

Sunrise ushered in a new day showing that evil had lost and spring would bring hope once again.

Faramir is a romantic and a poet, and you bring that out very well.

Dear Faramir.

It is lovely that he has such things to look forward to now.
