The light spring breeze was a contrast to the wintry gusts from several days ago. Éowyn still felt the chill and shivered involuntarily.  Her dreams were dark. Out of the corner of her eye, she saw that she was not alone.

The Steward had joined her but did not speak immediately.

She found herself speaking, “The weather is not as cool as before.”

“Spring will come soon,” Faramir replied softly looking into Éowyn’s eyes.  “We will see the warmth as a sign of better times.”

And their eyes strayed to a white cherry blossom flowering, signaling a sign of hope.
