Summary : An elf revisits Eregion a short time after its fall to an attack by Sauron.

She found the glass in the ruins of Ost-in Edhil. It was small and a little heavy for its size—perhaps it had been intended for medicine, or brandy. That must have been how it survived the forces that tore apart the walls of the house.

The fascinating stained-glass windows of the Hall of the Gwaith-i-Mirdain were utterly shattered, like the hopes of the Brotherhood. Yet, this plain sturdy bit of glass remained intact, was not even chipped. She took it away in her pocket, to help stave off nightmares.

‘Look,’ she said to Elrond, ‘this belongs in Imladris, too.’
